Madam, sir, dear customer,

Directive 2009/125 / EC of the European Parliament established a framework for setting ecodesign requirements applicable to energy-using products (ErP: Energy related Products) with the aim of making energy savings during the use phase and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

It already concerned Motors (Regulation n ° 640/2009) and Fans (n ° 327/2011).

From 1er January 2016, it affects some of our products through the regulation 1253/2014 which covers Ventilation Units.
Certain requirements will be reinforced in 1er January 2018.

This regulation concerns manufacturers, importers or marketers such as VIM , but you also project managers (design offices, installers) who know the environment and the conditions for integrating the product into the installation.

The publication of the texts is recent. There are still points that will be clarified after its application.

In terms of products, VIM is already able to offer you ErP 2016 or 2018 compliant ranges for all installations.

Some non-compliant ranges will be discontinued, new models will be marketed in the first quarter of 2016 with the main concerns of combining performance and competitive prices.

Aware of the problems that the application of this regulation can create for you in the short term, our sales and technical teams are at your disposal to find with you the best solutions according to the applications.

Thank you for your confidence, receive Madam, Sir, the expression of my best regards.

Frédéric Laurent
Managing Director VIM
