The majority of provisions are derived from the Directive 2012/19/EU of 4 July 2012, redesign of the Directive 2002/96/ECThey were transposed into French law by the Decree No. 2014-928 of August 19, 2014.

A producer is considered to be any company which, on the national market, and regardless of the sales technique used, manufactures and sells electrical and electronic equipment under its own brand, resells electrical and electronic equipment produced by other suppliers under its own brand, or imports or introduces electrical and electronic equipment on a professional basis.

VIM is registered in the ADEME WEEE producers register.
The unique identifier FR001439_05OSOF certifies the registration of VIM SASU in the register of producers in the EEE sector, in application of article L.541-10-13 of the Environmental Code and the completion of its marketing declarations with ECOSYSTYEM and ECOLOGIC.

The sector distinguishes between EEE for household use and those for professional use.

Waste electrical and electronic equipment that is likely to be used both by households and by users other than households is in any case considered to be waste electrical and electronic equipment from households.

By deduction, WEEE which is not included in this definition of household WEEE is professional WEEE.

Household WEEE - Eco-organization - Eco-Participation

In our case, these are ventilation products intended for individual housing identified by the crossed-out bin logo, classified in categories 4 and 5 Large household appliances.

VIM meets French legal and regulatory obligations for organizing and financing the collection, removal and recycling of household WEEE through its membership in the approved eco-organization ECOSYSTYEM.

The eco-participation is to be passed on to your own customers up to the end customer.

Our quotes and invoices show the amount excluding VAT of the eco-participation subject to VAT, it is paid in full to the eco-organization.

In our case, this concerns ventilation, smoke extraction, air treatment equipment, and professional kitchen hoods, classified in categories 4 and 5.
