Application
Designed for controlling a smoke extraction fan in Public Access Buildings (ERP) and High-Rise Buildings (IGH).
NF certified by AFNOR according to certification standard no. NF537 “NF Mark - Relay boxes for smoke extraction fans” in force since October 2017.
In accordance with regulations, a relay box can only control one smoke extraction fan.

Description
- Indoor or outdoor installation: IP55 box.
- According to the size of the PILOTAIR® : reinforced polycarbonate or painted metal casing (RAL7035), hinged front cover.
- Fixing kit and cable glands supplied.
- Power supply at 50Hz or 60Hz frequency.
- Front control panel with manual safety control and LED indicator for box status: standby, safety, fault.
- Microcontroller electronic card, tropicalized and installed at the bottom of the case under a galvanized steel plate: increased protection during connection and guaranteed reliability over time in humid environments.
- Display on the electronic card for status signaling (waiting or safety) + fault detected.
- Remote control inputs:
- Control voltage of 12 or 24 or 48Vd.c. with current emission (breakage prohibited in accordance with the NF537 standard).
- Non-polarized - no risk of inversion when connecting.
- Galvanically isolated.
- Easy access to power components and remote control terminals, quick connection of spring terminals for the terminals of the electronic card and the contactors of the 6, 10.6 and 16.6A caliber boxes.
- Adjustable BDEZ pressure switch option integrated into the box:
- 1 smoke extraction speed = 1 pressure switch: “Id2” = adjustable from 20 to 300Pa / “Id” = 100 to 1000Pa / “ID” = 1000 to 5000Pa.
- 2 smoke extraction speeds = 2 pressure switches: “Id2” = adjustable from 20 to 300Pa / “Id” = 100-1000Pa / “Id2d” = 1 x 20-300Pa and 1 x 100-1000Pa / “ID” = 1 x 100-1000Pa and 1 x 1000-5000Pa.
- INTZ 3-point padlockable switch-disconnector option integrated into the front of the cabinet.
- Vibration resistance tested.
- Tested with generator power supply.
- Compatible with all CMSI on the market.
IDC version with integrated soft starter
- Reduced installation cost: savings on AES power.
- Reduction of current peaks and therefore of line voltage drops and mechanical constraints.
- Limitation of the starting current on each phase up to 3 times the nominal current of the motor, compared to 7 times in smoke extraction starting.
- In order to guarantee this starting current, the PILOTAIR® IDC is not compatible with motors rated less than 4.5A.
- Upstream protection to be implemented: use either aM type fuses or an MA curve circuit breaker. In order to ensure the passage of the current peak at start-up, its rating must be oversized by 150% of the motor nominal current.
- Starter settings are factory-set. Only the motor current needs to be adjusted.
- Soft starter life optimized by its integrated bypass: in comfort use, its power electronic components are only used during the motor start-up phase; then, they are automatically shunted.
- Power supply by generator: the latter must meet the GSS2 classification according to NF E37-312.
Version with engine thermal protection on the comfort circuit
- The electronic card receives a remote control from the fan in comfort mode: “on-off” (case of a 1-speed motor; replaces a DIJZ) or “0-PV-GV” (case of a 2-speed motor; replaces a DEMZ).
- Use a comfort control box, see accessories section.
- Installation simplified by reducing the number of power cables used: significant time saving during assembly.
- This overload protection (taken into account only in comfort operation) is provided by thermal relays of intervention class “10”; with adjustment scale in amperes allowing direct adjustment without any additional calculation (adjustment current = nominal PV/GV current of the controlled motor).
